WHO ARE FIREFLY?
My name is Alex Blackman and I am delighted to offer you my services as a wedding and event photographer or videographer. I am dedicated to providing the professional service you require.
I've always been a keen photographer - in fact my father was a photographer and I spent many hours as a child, developing photographs of my toys, in the darkroom at home (and then selling them to my mates!) After my dad died, I decided to follow in his footsteps.
Of course the technology has moved on but the key principles haven't changed. I now shoot using Canon, full-sensor, DSLR cameras with the best quality lenses Canon produce - their 'L' series professional lenses - as well as a few 'special' lenses I've picked up along the way.
I use Lightroom and Photoshop to manage image post-production to ensure you get the most stunning and creative images of your event or celebration. I'm a pretty quick worker and strive to get your photographs back to you as quickly as possible - we all hate waiting don't we?
My wife, Jane, is a celebrant, leading non-religious wedding, naming and funeral ceremonies, many of which I've had the pleasure of photographing. She can be contacted at:
